This week I had the opportunity to hike the San Bernadino Mountains in search of a T-34C Mentor crash site.

My friend Steve "Butch" "Judy" Freeman crashed this plane into the mountain on 6 AUG 02. I was responsible for determinining what (if anything could be retrieved from the wreckage.

| Due to the long trip up to the area, we spent the night in a conference room at the Hilton in San Bernadino (Little League families had booked almost every hotel around). Much better option than spending a night in a sleeping bag. This was the view of the sun coming up. |
