Now I live in the central valley of California, about thirty minutes south of Fresno. In a town named Lemoore. The valley is called the San Joaquin Valley and a majority of the agricultural products used in the western US are grown here. With this claim comes significant disadvantages. For example, the air quality is terrible. When flying back from the desert, you must descend into a bowl of brown, hazy, air which everyone in the valley must breathe. Ugh. Not

The Navy decided to position it's Master Jet Base here in Lemoore. All of the operational squadrons for Navy F/A-18's on the West Coast are based here. One could consider this a wacky idea since for most of the winter months, the valley is blanketed in a fog thicker than any fog ever. This limits the amount of flying we can do since it lifts for only a few hours mid-day and then returns with a vengance.
